In 2021 the Saanich Police Department created the Recruiting Equity Diversity and Inclusion Committee. (REDI). The committee aims to identify progressive recruiting initiatives and strategies to enhance our efforts to build and strengthen relationships and connections with potential recruit candidates with diverse backgrounds. We intend to achieve this through various initiatives by being intentional in our recruiting to ensure that we are reaching the broadest possible pool of potential applicants.
